About Us

Introducing Sole Focus Foot Health, created in 2024 to cater to the needs of residents in the Arrow and Slocan Lakes area who require assistance with foot and nail care, or who wish to monitor or enhance their foot health.

Our Registered Nurses have completed a minimum of 150 hours of foot care training, are members of the Canadian Association of Foot Care Nurses, and engage in regular continuing education, ensuring that we are up-to-date with the latest in the field. We are committed to providing high-quality foot care services to our clients.

Managing Partner

Jen Darling, RN, BScN

Jen graduated with a diploma in general nursing in 1999, and later obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing through UBC in 2004. She has worked across the US and Canada in emergency rooms and advanced practice settings.

Jen arrived in Nakusp from Whitehorse, YT in December of 2021. She is an active member of the Arrow Lakes SAR team, and enjoys outdoor pursuits, reading, and home improvement.

Managing Partner

Amanda Ormiston, RN, BScN

Amanda graduated with a diploma in nursing in 2008 and upgraded to a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Ryerson University in 2013. She has worked in Ontario and BC in a variety of positions but has a love for emergency medicine and intensive care.

Amanda arrived in Nakusp from Huntsville, ON in August of 2021 with her husband, 6 year-old daughter, and 8 year-old Bernese dog. When not found with her nursing cap on, Amanda is out in nature with her family, looking for fairies and waterfalls.
